Vulnerability is a weakness of a system that lets hackers or attackers to decrypt your data traffic and access your data.

Krook-Vulnerability

Publically this vulnerability has been disclosed by the famous Security provider Company “ESET”, called it “Krook”. The technical name of Krook is CVE-2019-15126). This security threat is associated with hardware component Wi-Fi chip from a long ago. Which Wi-Fi Chips are affected by this bug? The chips manufactured by Broadcom and Cypress are the cause of this vulnerability as these chips are most commonly used in client servers, access points, and routers. Devices of big brands like Amazon Echo/Kindle, Apple iphone/ipad/, Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi Redmi, and more could be vulnerable because of presence of FullMac  W LAN Wi-Fi Chips of Broadcom and Cypress. The krook found in the Amazon Echo is similar to KRACKs (Key Reinstallation Attacks).  Moreover, if your client server is patched but your wireless Wi-Fi access point or router is unpatched, still an attacker can breech the traffic routes or network. A billion Wi-fi enabled devices have been affected by this Krook bug- a conservative estimate.

How to Protect

Want to keep your devices safe being Vulnerable from Kr00k; you have to update all Wi-Fi enables machines such as smart phones, laptops, Wi-Fi access Points, routers  using latest firmware version. The major concern is that it is not only vulnerable to Wi-Fi Access point and Router, but it also seriously affected client server as well.
