Fawad Chaudhry New Claimed: Ramadan 2020: First Roza

Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, has announced the date of first roza of ramadan 2020, prior two months without seeing the Crescent (Halal).

Ramadan 2020, without Seeing Crescent (Halal), the recent announcement of Ramadan 2020  first roza on 25^th April 2020 by the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mr Fawad Chaudhry definitely become the casue of another anxiety or Chaotic among the Muslims of Pakistan. Its intensity will be at its peak on the last day of Shaban that is 29^th at time of sunset when crescent of New month of “Ramadan 2020” either will be appeared on sky or not. 

Muslims from all over the world are being celebrate their religious and holy month of the lunar year “Ramadan” with full joy and happiness and being ready to have first roza on same day that is first of Ramadan. In Arabic the fast is called “Sawm” while in local language it terms as “Roza”. Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic calendar and Allah Subhan a Tala’s and His Prophet Muhammad SAW preach them the importance of this month by saying that the “Thawab” or Ajar or reward is being 7 times higher as compare to the normal days. Allah Subhan e Tala’a called this month is of His own.

Muslims of the Pakistan are already facing issue of two Ramadan and two Eid-ul-Fittar since a long time ago. Every year, one announcement of first roza of  Ramadan is being made from Government side officially through Central Ruet e Halal committee while the second one is by the Mufti  Shahabuddin Popplzai , a Cleric (Khateeb) of the famous and ancient Mosque of Pehawar“ The Qasim Ali Khan Mosque” , capital city of the  KPK. So People of the KPK always have first roza one day prior as compare to the rest of the Pakistan. The same is repeated again on the occasion of seeing Shawwal Crescent.  Now this new claimed from Federal Minister of Science and Technology Mr Fawad Chaudhry about the first roaz of Ramadan 2020 will be on 25^th April 202 without visually observing Ramadan Crescent on 27^th February 2020 through its tweet had will make this matter more confusing and create more anxiety among the Muslims of Pakistan including Mufti Shahabuddeen and Ruet-e-Halal Committee, Two major player of this contest.

According to Fawad Chaudhry, We should use advance technology to settle down the issue of first roza of Ramadan date to create harmony among the nation rather division.

No doubt, Science and technology has been developed at new level and using modern technique we can exactly discover the location and position of the crescent. But Muslims believes that the announcement first roza of Ramadan 2020 should be associated with visual observation of Ramadan 2020 Crescent rather on scientific basis.

The intervene of Federal Minister Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry about the opening of Ramadan 2020 without seeing Ramadan Crescent prior two month will be create a new  controversy, and generate negative sentiments specially against the PTI Led Government. This situation seems to be creating problems for the Imran Khan, chairing prime minister-ship. Mr Fawad Chaudhry is not a religious cleric, and has no deep knowledge of Islamic principles that make him capable to take decision on such sensitive issues. Moreover, The science minister multiple time has raised the objections on Ruet-e-Halal Committee decisions regarding announcement of first roza of Ramadan 2020 based on visual observation of Ramadan Crescent in near past. Further, who assign him authority taking such a bold decision on sensitive issues like the announcement of date of first roaza of Ramadan 2020 on 25^th April 2020 prior two month ago without estimating the consequences if the decision or claim go wrong, If there is any mistake who will pay “Kaffarah” to make Allah Subhan e Tala’a Happy, Fawad Chaudhry or Government.

Remember,earlier, declaration of first roza of Ramadan by Mutif Shahabudeen Popalzai still based on some unseen evidence who had claimed visually observation of the Ramdan Crescent. The dispute between Mufti Popalzai and Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, chairman of Ruet-e-Halal Committee, is on the seeing Ramadan Crescent, but the statement delivered by Mr Fawad Chaudhry about first roaz of Ramadan 2020 put the issue on new direction that is no need of seeing Ramadan 2020 Crescent.

In May 2019, Mr. Fawad Chaudhry had made announcement of Pakistan’s first moon sighting website in the history of Pakistan. Later, the first ever moon sighting mobile application was launched to share real time information about the moon. The name of the Application is “Ruet”. The app is equipped with modern technology that reveals different information about the moon such as age of the moon, visually various phases of the moon according to the Islamic calendar or lunar system.

No one deny the utility of the modern technology and significant importance for the progress and development of the country, but once again, it’s a religious matter, and opening of first roza of Ramadan 2020 date should be announced after seeing Ramadan 2020 Crescent.
