This is the third video of SEO course series. In this video we have again define the three terms of SEO abbreviation Search Engine Optimization. Lets briefly discuss these terms in below lines.
Search
Anything that anyone interested to look for For example: what is seo, SEO course, Free SEO Course. You need a source where you start your search to get required results. This source is called browser such as bing, and google as described in the video. Few others are Yahoo, Firefox, Mozilla, safari, Opera, Yandex etc
Search Engines
After sending your queries, search engines start to find out the results in accordance with your queries.
Optimization
Last stage, where search engines display the best results after execution of your queries.
Explanation
In the given tutorial, the query is "sports cars" that has been searched on two famous search engines namely bing and google chrome to examine the results of two.After execution, both the search engines shows different results. The difference in shown results is due to the different algorithms used by the the two discussed engines.
Here is the question arise:
How does search engines perform executions in response of query?
The criteria that search engines adopted to perform all actions are called algorithms or programming.
Algorithm or Programming
It is the set of some formulas, characteristics, attributes or value that collectively are being considered at the time of executions of query. These attributes or parameters are called factors or ranking factors or SEO ranking factors. The website that matches these attributes is being qualified as optimized or best one.
How many factors are there?
No body knows about the figure. Some experts says that there are 200+ factors that google consider at the time of execution of any query. Some other say that there are 10,000+ factors that are considered by google at the time of execution of any query.
Do these factors are publicly available?
Sweet and smart answer is "NO". the reason is that this algorithm is the secret of every search engine that a big source of earning for them. They are very touchy about this. They always secure it rather disclose. Further these factors are not permanent in nature, they are vary overtime with advancement in technologies. If you compare today google with the 20 years old google, you will observe the hell of difference.The reason is that the google has made tremendous changes in its algorithm with the passage of time due to technology advancement and users preferences keeping the usefulness, one of its objective of mission statement.
It is possible that the factors that are of great importance today, may become obsolete after one year, because google may consider it is not as fruitful from users point of view. So keep it in your mind, if you become a successful SEO expert you have to keep your pace with pace of google algorithm, otherwise you may loose the market. In other words you should be adaptive
Nature or Type of Factors.
As discussed early, there is no exact figure that publicly available.But some experts have point out some of them as mentioned above. There are different type of factors and being categorized on their nature and features such as Title, Description, information, links, either a website is loading or not loading, if loading, then with which speed, and security,etc.
