Read the following Scenario

Now I try to link the words of scenario with the terminologies used in SEO to make it easy to understand.

Here Library is the Internet, where all the data is stored in the form of websites.
You need something to reach that access point and that something is known as the Web browser or simply Browser. It is a software that works on a local computer or network and user uses it as a means to reach the access point "Internet", once you have accessed, search engines (Librarian) get into action to fetch out best or optimized results from their stored data on multiple servers.

With the growth of the use of the internet and a source of earning too, it uses split into multiple directions such as eCommerce websites, online stores,  bloggers, educational institutes, a non-profit organization, and many more.

Human Psychology

Easiness is the part of Human Nature, therefore, when search engines fetch out the results in response to the query, the resultant page shows optimized or best results out of millions of websites. The first page may show 10 or 20 results, then what about the others? People don't care about it.
why do one website rank on 1 position and the other website rank in 15th position?
All search engines assign positions or rank as per their algorithms. Ranking of a website depends on how much it meets the guidelines of the algorithm of the search engine. Nobody Knows exactly about these algorithms. Algorithms are secrets of search engines, and they are always stopping people to crack them.

Everyone wants its websites on ranking number 1, so this race of availing ranking position 1 has generated the new job or profession called "SEO Expert".

A SEO Expert is the person or agency that works on the Content of the website in the light of guidelines of concerned search engine algorithm to avail ranking number 01 or at least appear in the first page results.
