By default Blogger has classified pages into three types in accordance with header tags factors



Be default, the blog site has been classified into three pages, and every page is associated with same number of header tags which are 10 in total.

Home Page

This class represents the home page of your blog, that contain all of your posts. 

Archive and Search Pages

Archive likes a shelve where all your posts related pages are placed, and you can access them through clicking on "older" or "new" button or link available right bottom of your home page. But availability of these option depends upon the theme that you are using. 
The other ways to access these post is clicking on Month or Year button.

Secondly anyone have access them using search bar service available on your home page of your blog. Search result may display multiple blog posts or a single post.

If a blog has more than 500 posts, suppose, then every single post has a page with comments feature.

For each page the  same ten total number of header tags factors are used 

  • All: -This tag allows robots (computer Programed) to crawl, indexing, and display your content as a result of search.
  • noindex:-Retard the robots from indexing the blog. In other words, website will not appear in search results
  • nofollow: -This attributes pass on directive to robots do not index these pages as they are marked or linked as no follow, means no need to indexed them. But the same linked pages are marked as do follow by other website; you are free to index them.
  • none: -This single attribute or header tag performs the same actions as done by the noindex and nofollow together.
  • noarchive:- Users of Internet might be experience that google caches the websites on results page. What does it mean? Google caches means stores website temporally as copy for a duration if the link goes down. Picking up this header tag means stop google from caching websites

Google Cache is actually a snapshot or copy of website that stored temporarily to show on result page if the link goes down 


  • nosnippet: -Google search results shows some piece of text for each website or page that help readers to find the nature of content pen down inside the post or website. If your turn on, google will not show snippet text on search results page.
  • noodp: -odp stand for Open Directory Project  of Dmoz- A human made directory for websites, and editable by human. Google search engine often uses information from it for instance text snippets to improve its SERP efficiency. You Stop robots, if you set it off.
  • notranslate:-Google provides feature to translate content of website into the language of user. It won't be shown if you set it on.
  • noimageindex:-From SEO point of view, indexing image is essential and it helps to increase traffic on blog. By default it is unchecked.
  • Further, use copy right feature to prevent image from unauthorized use.
  • Unavailable-after-Blogger can specify the duration or time period after that web page will not be available to be show on results page.

On left side Bar, Go to Setting>>Search Preference. A property pan opens on your right side with multiple section having  different features.

Your targeted section is labeled as "Crawlers and Indexing". Click on Edit in Line with Custom Robots Header Tag

Step 3
